About the role
As a Banking Operations Executive at StashAway, you will drive process improvements, work with various teams on new feature implementations and be responsible for providing oversight on daily brokerage operations functions including cash transfers, transactional due diligence and customer due diligence. The Operations team works closely with the Client Engagement, Technology and Product teams to deliver the best client experience possible.

You enjoy constantly thinking of ways to make complicated tasks more efficient and scalable, while keeping a keen eye on the big picture. You are comfortable with continuous learning-on-the-job and grasp complex topics quickly. You are also adept at thinking on your feet to solve problems in a creative and holistic manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight (be the approver) on day-to-day operational tasks:
    • Daily deposits and withdrawals processing (includes Suspicious Transaction Monitoring);
    • Daily fund transfers for the business (e.g. transfer to the Broker); and
    • Screening and risk assessment of customers.
  • Assist the Operations team in resolving transactional issues (e.g. stalled withdrawals, reconciliation discrepancies, product bugs) together with the Technology team.
  • Prepare monthly reports (e.g. reconciliation report, operations KPI report).
  • Take ownership of operational tasks and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such tasks.
  • Design end-to-end process flows and contribute to new feature implementations by working with the Product and Tech teams.
  • Handle business operations tasks:
    • Vendor management: screening and risk assessment;
    • Employee screening;
    • Ensure that company-wide procedures are in place and maintained;
    • Provide information and address relevant queries from auditors; and
    • Liaise with Finance / Admin department on company administrative matters.
  • Undertake ad-hoc operations projects as required.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
  • Open only to Thai Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in the following disciplines, e.g. Business Management, Operations, Finance, Accounting
  • Customer-centric business philosophy and collaborative mindset
  • Detail-oriented mindset and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and problem solve on the fly with limited guidance
    • We have an annual Learning & Development budget of S$1,000/year for you to take charge of your upskilling and learning!
  • Good intuition and ability to assess unclear situations with limited information
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Comfortable with understanding process flows and designing new processes from scratch
Good-to-Haves:
  • Appreciation and understanding of applying technology and software to business processes
  • Appreciation for compliance and adherence to government regulations
  • Securities regulatory knowledge and strong understanding of account transfers, corporate actions/dividends, and trading
  • Understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and risk mitigation rules
