MY - Website Marketing Designer

About the role
We’re looking for a Website Marketing Designer whose primary responsibility is to improve the usability and efficacy of each of our marketing websites in the 5 countries in which we operate (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and UAE). This means evaluating the existing information architectures and finding quick wins, as well as ideating and delivering major necessary changes and improvements.

Your objective is not only to get people to sign up with us, but to make sure that when they sign up, they know what they’re getting. Choosing where to invest your money is a big decision, and that makes us a high-consideration service. Meaning, we don’t expect people to sign up after seeing one page or ad. Rather, before they actually sign up, we want them to grasp how powerful and effective our products and services really are when it comes to building their wealth. Then the experience of the product, once they sign up, still exceeds their expectations. We believe that effective storytelling is what best manages people’s expectations. Effective storytelling is a balance of guidance and visualisation. It’s your job to tell that story through our website. 

We’re continually adding to our product mix (with current products including Global investment portfolios, Income Portfolio, our cash management product StashAway Simple™, our financial planning feature, and our financial literacy offering.) Our product roadmap has additional product offerings in the coming year, but each country will have differing product launch sequences and stages. That means that for each country, as new products are introduced, the story has to transform with it, and still has to fit for local context and what works best in each country. In short, you’ll never not have enough to do, and any improvements will deliver immediate value to the company’s customer acquisition performance. 

This role reports into the Head of Communications, and works closely with the Client Experience, Content, Online Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams. 

Responsibilities:
  • Design world-class marketing websites that match the quality of our product and service, and that are individually effective in each separate country.
  • Manage separate information architectures for Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and UAE.
  • Organise each information architecture and develop user experiences to instill trust, convey effective messages, and convert high quality customers.
  • Assess our existing site to find ways to improve usability, overall design, content, and brand messaging.
  • Use online forums, support tickets, social media pages, reviews, our database, customer insights, market research, user testing, and more to inform website decisions.  
Requirements
  • Open only to Malaysia Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency also in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree required.
  • At least 2 years of experience conceptualising and designing engaging websites by considering business objectives, branding, and  user behaviour.
  • Relevant experience and understanding in information architecture and user testing.
  • Relevant knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO is preferred.
  • Has basic understanding of, or at least interest in, marketing fundamentals, such as understanding how to optimise the marketing funnel
  • Has an mind for problem-solving and is able to find solutions to enhance and improve existing StashAway websites in the context of improving potential clients’ understanding of our USP
  • You’re a great storyteller.
  • You’re energetic and enthusiastic for a fast-paced environment, and have a great sense of humour.
